Morning Funnies

1. After Ben and I finished our scripture reading over breakfast, Henry asked, "Now can I read MY scriptures?"  What are we going to say to that?  He has been doing this for several weeks now, and it's so precious, and this morning I had the sense to capture it on video.  Here you go:

2. Ellis woke up around 10:15am.  I kept waiting and waiting for him to wake up, and it just never happened!  He has a bit of a cold, so I guess he really needed the rest.  When I finally went to get him, I unwrapped him and found this:

Two legs in one hole!  This is what happens when I am called out of a deep sleep at 2:00am and asked to change a diaper.  Can this really be safe?  I often worry about Ben getting up with the baby at night because he sleep-walks, says creepy things, and pretends to stab people in his sleep.  Maybe I should not be so confident with my own night-time childcare skills!  Hmmmm.  Bad mom evidence #379.

This is Kali, not Taylor

Maybe that is why he was sleeping so long. You had just learned a new way to "swaddle" your baby. It kept him nice and snug and happy! Maybe you should try that more often! :)

We love that video! Henry is the best little guy there ever was. Ellis's legs in one hole is so funny, he looks perfectly happy with it in the picture though!

Okay- that is just proof that you guys are amazing parents! Henry "reading" his scriptures is about the sweetest thing I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing it!

As proud grandparents, we think Henry might become the next youngest apostle! And Jenn, since Dad and I are witnesses to how soundly BOTH you and Ben sleep, please be careful with those kids in the night!!! So funny to see Ellis with both legs stuffed into the same pantleg!

That really is so cute! I had no idea that Ben was so creepy. Even though that knowledge is completely irrelevant to me, It is good to know these types of things for emergencies, or just to make fun of said sleeper.

Classic. I have not laughed so hard as to read that Ben stabs people in his sleep. Man, you guys should get a late-night sitcom spot on Fox.

Good times.
