The Lack of Snow in Winter

(Jenn)

I took this picture last week in a prideful moment, when I was thinking, "Ha, ha, all of my friends and family in Utah are shoveling snow and freezing to death, and I am at the park in short sleeves in 66 degree weather!" Maybe that wasn't a very nice thought. Sorry! It was beautiful, and this week hasn't been so bad either (more like in the 40's though). I really WOULD like to have at least one more good snow this winter. We got Henry a snow tube for Christmas and have been reading Curious George Goes Sledding, and still Henry has never been sledding! So a good snow day would be nice. I just hope it doesn't come in 3 1/2 weeks from now when my family is here (they're coming to visit for my birthday week!). My brother Brady gets home from his mission a week from today! I can't even explain how excited I am!!!

Jenn -

I can't believe that Brady is already going to be home. That is so exciting that your family is coming out to visit. What day is your birthday again...the 7th? I can't quite remember.

Henry cracks me up. I loved the "sock song"!!

WOW!! That is some beautiful weather you have there! With our wind chill it is only -36 degrees today :):) A proper last winter from ND I suppose.
That is awesome that your family is coming out! Have fun with all of them there. It is so fun to have visitors!
Henry reminds me so much of Carter. I LOVE the wonderful sock song. Look forward to many more songs about nothing. :)

Holy Cow! I had no idea that Brady was ready to come home. I am amazed he's been gone that long. I guess time flies when it isn't your brother that is on a mission. Give you family my love.

Ben and Jenn, you guys have a sweet blog. We found your blog from another friends blog...yes, blog-surfing. I'm glad we found you.
We got a kick out of your snowy Utah comment because we just got home from skiing all day on a snowy, powdery, beautiful, Utah mountain. :) You know you miss it! Okay, we wouldn't mind the warm weather either, but somebody's gotta' stand up for Utah. We hope all is well. It would be fun to stay in touch with you guys.

I can't believe your weather. I am sort of jealous, it's sooo cold in Iowa. I also can't believe Brady is going to be home so soon. Wow! Time goes by so quickly.
